BOO on ME!

so i know i am a HORRIBLE blogger. life has been so crazy lately. i will do my best to update soon! love you all! : )

SHATFORD!

For those of you who don't know, i am on staff in Shatford House, an all girls freshmen dorm here at IWU. My title is RHA President - which basically means I'm the event coordinator. i also run our house meetings that we have every other week. It's so much fun being on staff with the other girls! We bonded a lot during training before school started! My roommate is Bethany, the RA of 3 East unit here in Shatford. We have lots of fun together and with our girls. : )
A couple nights after the freshmen girls were here, we had initiation where we took them outside and made them do silly things. We are the Shatford ducks, hence Sam being in a duck costume in one of the pictures. : ) At times, things are stressful with all the meetings and stuff, but I'm having so much fun! : )

balance...

as you know, or may not know, chris proposed to me this summer. and so the wedding planning began. we did as much as we could before coming back to school, but now that we're here, life has gotten crazy. being over 2,000 miles away from home makes planning a wedding very interesting. especially being a full time student and on staff in a freshmen dorm. so fun, but crazy nonetheless. when i got my syllabi for all my classes, i thought i was going to go insane. but since then, i've come to terms with the fact that my life will just be crazy and very scheduled!
as far as the wedding goes, planning had sort of come to a screeching halt for a while. but, i've started to pick things up again. so far we have: a place, a photographer, a cake, my dress, the bridesmaids dresses picked out, and two djs we need to pick from. oh and we know what song we're going to dance to for our first dance. so things are coming together.
i have a countdown on my computer which i check daily - exactly 250 days til our wedding day! CRAZY! : ) we can't wait!
