Twelve Months

The happy Birthday Girl!

Addi's One!

Addi's "Donut" Cake.

The girl loves cake.

One Year Pictures.

Love her smile.

Such a big girl.

The beautiful sign Haley (my sister-in-law) made for her birthday.

12 Months – ONE YEAR!

Weight: 23lbs 7.5oz
Height: 30in

Sleep: She’s a great sleeper. She’s sleeps 11-12 hours a night (YAY!). Sometimes she fights naps, but usually, she takes two 1-1.5 hour naps.

Size/Diaper: She’s in 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. Some 18-month clothes are too big still, but she fits in most of it already.

Diet: She is done with formula (my wallet is happy), and is only drinking cow’s milk and water. We tried watered down Gerber juice, and she didn’t seem too interested. So we’ll try again later. She’s still struggling with a sippy cup, so we’ll keep working with her on that, and drinking from a bottle for now. She basically can eat anything now. She loves bread and bananas and these little toddler raviolis. Basically anything she can pick up herself – she’s a fan. We still mostly feed her baby food, but it’s nice for us to be able to give her little bites of what we’re eating.

Baby Gear Love: Her noise maker, her little upholstered rocking chair, and her toy laptop. We have a noise maker that we use when she sleeps, and it covers up a lot of the noise we make around the house. I kind of want one in my room. We bought her a little upholstered rocking chair for her birthday, and she loves sitting in it. She also got a toy laptop that she loves to play with and it teachers her as she plays.

Milestones/Firsts: Walking! She’s not a pro yet, but she’s taking quite a few steps at a time on her own. She’ll be flying in no time. She’s now drinking cow’s milk – which she loves. She has started signing. She knows please, more, and all done. We’re still working on what “all done” actually means. She signs it whenever I saw “all done” even if she’s not actually done.

Likes/Dislikes: She loves her baby dolls and hugging everything (toys, dolls, blocks, people). She loves climbing on anything and everything. She loves her toy train that moves on it’s own. She loves playing in the dog food (which we don’t allow, but she’s sneaky). She loves taking the Christmas ornaments off the tree, and the little battery operated mouse that sings “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” at my parent’s house. She loves going for walks in her stroller. She loves baths.
She doesn’t like having her nails clipped or her ears cleaned.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way she laughs when my sister juggles. The way she smiles every time a real baby comes on the screen when she’s watching Baby Einstein. The way she loves to destroy things – rip toilet paper, pulling out Kleenex’s, taking Tupperware out of drawers, etc. The way she gives wide-mouthed kisses. The way she toddles when she walks. The way she crawls really fast to the bathroom every time we turn the bath faucet on.

Eleven Months

11 Months

Love our long her hair is getting.

Had to take this picture on my phone. Will add better pictures later.

Weight: 23lb 1.5oz (I don’t think she lost weight from last month. This is just the difference between me weighing her on our home scale and weighing her at the doctor).
Height: 29 inches

Sleep: She is sleeping pretty well. The time change through her off, but she is sleeping through the night and starting to adjust. She still fights her naps, as usual, but overall, she does well.
Size/Diaper: 12-month and 12-18-month clothes (very few 9 month clothes) and size 4 diapers.

Diet: Formula, baby food, fruit and veggie purees, yogurt, puffs, baby crackers, and baby yogurt melts. I’ll probably start adding some milk into her diet closer to her birthday to wean her off the formula.

Baby Gear Love: Her V-Tech walker. She loves to play with the activity tray on the front and walks really well while holding on to the walker. It’s been awesome!

Milestones/Firsts: She’s started clapping. She’s learned to get down off the couch by herself by climbing down on her belly, feet first. Although she’s not using actual words, she’s started communicating better. She can climb up on short surfaces.

Likes/Dislikes: She doesn’t like lying still to have her diaper changed. She loves food and eating in general. She loves her dollies and books. She loves bath time an water in all forms. She loves to pull things out of other things (like all her clothes out of the laundry basket). She doesn’t like to sit still for very long (or ever). She doesn’t like the taste of her baby Tylenol. She loves her noise maker as she goes to sleep.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way she hugs and kisses her baby dolls. How kissable her cheeks are. The way she lays her head down on both her grandpas’ and daddy’s shoulders. The way she climbed up on the bell hop cart during our vacation to Tahoe. How long her hair is getting. The way she can climb up into her stroller in about .3 seconds, and can climb stairs in our .5 seconds. The way she’ll sit still and let me read her books when she’s tired. The way she smiles behind her pacifier. The way Chris holds her arm and makes her blow kisses to her Grandma, then when Grandma blows her kisses back, Chris pretends to have Addi catch the kisses. She loves this!

Ten Months

10 Months

Weight: 23.6 pounds
Height: 28.5 inches

Sleep: She’s a great sleeper at night, but still struggles to get good naps during the day. Both of our parents watch her while we’re at work, so she may have a hard time sleeping at the different houses. It’s a good day when she gets a couple of good naps.

Size/Diaper: She’s in 9-12 and 12 months clothes (and a 12-18 month jacket) and size 4 diapers. Her 12-month pajamas don’t have footies and it makes her look so old.

Diet: She’s eating lots of different foods. Since we moved, I’ve started giving her jarred baby food, which she seems to enjoy. She really likes the ones with pasta in them. She's also still on formula.

Baby Gear Love: Pack-n-Play. Technically, it’s my mom’s pack-n-play that she keeps for when Addi’s at her house, but we are using it while we are living at my parent’s house for the month. It really is amazing! It travels easy, is lightweight, small enough so as not to take up too much space, and Addi seems to be comfortable enough in it when she sleeps. I’m sure her crib and mattress are more comfortable, but she’s a champ and the pack-n-play is working great.

Milestones/Firsts: She’s walking with her walker. Her personality is coming out more. She’s talking a bit more like saying Mama, Dada, and PopPop, and making new sounds like “bah’s” and “gah’s.” She has even started standing on her own for short periods of time. I think 15 seconds is her record.

Likes/Dislikes: She likes crawling up the stairs, walking with her walker, and playing peek-a-boo. She loves seeing anyone in our family, and she loves FaceTiming with my sister. I have an app for kids called, “Jesus Loves Me,” that plays music and such, and she really enjoys watching the music video of the animated animals singing “Jesus Loves Me.”
Currently, she doesn’t like having her diaper changed or sitting still – ever.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way she tries to crawl really fast to get away from us when we chase her. The way she loves to crawl over the pillows on our bed and try to climb up the back of the couch. The way she crouches down while standing and holding onto the couch to play peek-a-boo with us. The way she hoots like an owl whenever the dog barks as her way of “barking” back. She also hoots just at random times, too, usually to get our attention. The way she gives kisses. The way she rubs her eyes when she’s sleepy. The way she scrunches up her nose to make a piggy face and blows through her nose.

Nine Months

9 Months
Getting so big.

That face.

Her serious face.

Oh, and that smile. Even behind the paci.

Weight:Weight: 22lbs
Height: 27.5 in (I may or may not have measured her with a piece of paper since we are living in chaos and I don’t have a ruler handy. And then as I’m writing this, I see the toolbox with the tape measure in it. I think I like my way better).

Sleep: She’s a great sleeper. Over the last couple of weeks, she’s started screaming at her naps, but since we just moved and her life’s kind of crazy, it’s understandable. At night, though, she’s a champ. She sleeps all night long, and sometimes even sleeps in until 7:30am.

Size/Diaper: She’s in size 3 diapers and size 9-month clothes. She also wears 6-9-months size and can squeeze into some 6-month clothes. I bought her some 12-month clothes recently – so crazy.

Diet: She’s drinking formula and eating lots different foods. She’s gotten pretty good about feeding herself. She really enjoys eating puffs and her teething biscuits.

Baby Gear Love: I really like the play yard. It’s nice to be able to put her somewhere safe where she can play, and I can get something done.

Milestones/Firsts: She has two teeth! The first one broke through right before her 8-month birthday, and the second one just came through last week. They are the 2 front bottom teeth. It’s adorable when she smiles, and you can see them.
She’s standing with assistance like a pro. She can pull herself up on just about anything, and stand while barely hanging on. I have a feeling she’ll be standing on her own and even walking soon.

Likes/Dislikes: She likes standing up and she loves getting into everything. She’s constantly moving. She loves moving/dancing to music. Her favorite right now is the Gilmore Girl’s theme song. She also loves giving kisses.

She’s not a fan of her play yard. She’ll play in it for a while, but she just hates being confined. She’s so curious and wants to move.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way you can see her two little teeth when she smiles. How curious she is and wants to get into everything. How she picked up and spilled the dog’s full water bowl and put a piece of his food in her mouth (I got it out ASAP, in case you were wondering). The way she whips her head around to look at the TV whenever the Gilmore Girl’s theme song comes on and starts dancing and smiling. The way she gives kisses, which are usually more like tongue stamps.
