Such a big girl.

The beautiful sign Haley (my sister-in-law) made for her birthday.

12 Months – ONE YEAR!

Weight: 23lbs 7.5oz
Height: 30in

Sleep: She’s a great sleeper. She’s sleeps 11-12 hours a night (YAY!). Sometimes she fights naps, but usually, she takes two 1-1.5 hour naps.

Size/Diaper: She’s in 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. Some 18-month clothes are too big still, but she fits in most of it already.

Diet: She is done with formula (my wallet is happy), and is only drinking cow’s milk and water. We tried watered down Gerber juice, and she didn’t seem too interested. So we’ll try again later. She’s still struggling with a sippy cup, so we’ll keep working with her on that, and drinking from a bottle for now. She basically can eat anything now. She loves bread and bananas and these little toddler raviolis. Basically anything she can pick up herself – she’s a fan. We still mostly feed her baby food, but it’s nice for us to be able to give her little bites of what we’re eating.

Baby Gear Love: Her noise maker, her little upholstered rocking chair, and her toy laptop. We have a noise maker that we use when she sleeps, and it covers up a lot of the noise we make around the house. I kind of want one in my room. We bought her a little upholstered rocking chair for her birthday, and she loves sitting in it. She also got a toy laptop that she loves to play with and it teachers her as she plays.

Milestones/Firsts: Walking! She’s not a pro yet, but she’s taking quite a few steps at a time on her own. She’ll be flying in no time. She’s now drinking cow’s milk – which she loves. She has started signing. She knows please, more, and all done. We’re still working on what “all done” actually means. She signs it whenever I saw “all done” even if she’s not actually done.

Likes/Dislikes: She loves her baby dolls and hugging everything (toys, dolls, blocks, people). She loves climbing on anything and everything. She loves her toy train that moves on it’s own. She loves playing in the dog food (which we don’t allow, but she’s sneaky). She loves taking the Christmas ornaments off the tree, and the little battery operated mouse that sings “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” at my parent’s house. She loves going for walks in her stroller. She loves baths.
She doesn’t like having her nails clipped or her ears cleaned.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way she laughs when my sister juggles. The way she smiles every time a real baby comes on the screen when she’s watching Baby Einstein. The way she loves to destroy things – rip toilet paper, pulling out Kleenex’s, taking Tupperware out of drawers, etc. The way she gives wide-mouthed kisses. The way she toddles when she walks. The way she crawls really fast to the bathroom every time we turn the bath faucet on.
