Ten Months

10 Months

Weight: 23.6 pounds
Height: 28.5 inches

Sleep: She’s a great sleeper at night, but still struggles to get good naps during the day. Both of our parents watch her while we’re at work, so she may have a hard time sleeping at the different houses. It’s a good day when she gets a couple of good naps.

Size/Diaper: She’s in 9-12 and 12 months clothes (and a 12-18 month jacket) and size 4 diapers. Her 12-month pajamas don’t have footies and it makes her look so old.

Diet: She’s eating lots of different foods. Since we moved, I’ve started giving her jarred baby food, which she seems to enjoy. She really likes the ones with pasta in them. She's also still on formula.

Baby Gear Love: Pack-n-Play. Technically, it’s my mom’s pack-n-play that she keeps for when Addi’s at her house, but we are using it while we are living at my parent’s house for the month. It really is amazing! It travels easy, is lightweight, small enough so as not to take up too much space, and Addi seems to be comfortable enough in it when she sleeps. I’m sure her crib and mattress are more comfortable, but she’s a champ and the pack-n-play is working great.

Milestones/Firsts: She’s walking with her walker. Her personality is coming out more. She’s talking a bit more like saying Mama, Dada, and PopPop, and making new sounds like “bah’s” and “gah’s.” She has even started standing on her own for short periods of time. I think 15 seconds is her record.

Likes/Dislikes: She likes crawling up the stairs, walking with her walker, and playing peek-a-boo. She loves seeing anyone in our family, and she loves FaceTiming with my sister. I have an app for kids called, “Jesus Loves Me,” that plays music and such, and she really enjoys watching the music video of the animated animals singing “Jesus Loves Me.”
Currently, she doesn’t like having her diaper changed or sitting still – ever.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way she tries to crawl really fast to get away from us when we chase her. The way she loves to crawl over the pillows on our bed and try to climb up the back of the couch. The way she crouches down while standing and holding onto the couch to play peek-a-boo with us. The way she hoots like an owl whenever the dog barks as her way of “barking” back. She also hoots just at random times, too, usually to get our attention. The way she gives kisses. The way she rubs her eyes when she’s sleepy. The way she scrunches up her nose to make a piggy face and blows through her nose.
