Seven Months

That tongue.

Love her little personality coming out.

Sitting up so well.

Weight: approximately 17.5 pounds
Height: probably around 27 inches

Sleep: She sleeps really well at night, but almost always fights her naps. When she finally goes down, she usually takes a decent nap, but she fights it initially.

Size/Diaper: She’s in 6/6-9 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

Diet: Breast milk and formula (about half and half) and some more solids. We’ve added peas, chicken, eggs, oatmeal cereal, and plums, and we’re about to add green beans. I try to mix them together to get different flavors, and she really enjoys it. At least I think she does based on the kicking legs and grunts she gives me while I’m preparing the food.

Baby Gear Love: We really like her Bumbo. We are borrowing one from a friend since they are a bit expensive. It’s just nice to be able to stick her in it really quick and know she’ll be safe while I get something done.

Milestones/Firsts: She is sitting up on her own. She still topples over sometimes and is a bit wobbly, but she’s gotten so strong at sitting on her own. She’s army crawling, too. She can’t get herself up on all fours yet, but she can pull her body with her arms army style. She also went to the beach for the first time. She loved playing in the sand. She, however, did not like the super cold ocean water. HA.
First time at the beach.

Likes/Dislikes: She loves eating and all the food she’s tried. She also loves FaceTiming with our family. She gets excited when she hears the dialing sound and becomes all smiles when the faces come on the screen. She doesn’t like being put down for a nap, and usually fights it. But eventually Mom and Dad win. Ha.

Things I don’t want to forget: The way she always curls her toes (see picture). The way her feet/legs are constantly in the air. She lifts them up and rests them on the bars of the crib, or just keeps them straight up while I’m changing her diaper. How her spitting up has significantly decreased (aka way less laundry for Mom to do). That moment I walked into her classroom at daycare and she was sitting up playing with her toys. Her giggle. And those cheeks – they are just so kissable.
Curled toes.

My whole family at La Jolla beach when they came for Chris's ordination.

The night of Chris' ordination.
