Bowford Winter Formal 2007

Bowman and Shatford had our annual Winter Formal. we had decorated a church fellowship hall and had Fazoli's (italian restaurant) cater the meal. then staff cleaned the place up while the freshmen went to see the walkway of lights (Christmas lights set up in downtown Marion). then we all went glow bowling. super fun night...i was stressed putting it all together, but my RHA resp (event reps) were such a huge help! : )

Chris' mom sent us a Christmas tree and some ornaments to decorate it. We put it up in Chris' dorm room and decided to take a Christmas picture!

2 MORE WEEKS!

chris and i will be home in 2 weeks from today! i can't wait! i can't believe how much i have to do in those two weeks...but we're SO close! : )
two more weeks and i can watch all the movies i want.
drink lots of hot chocolate, sit next to the fire, and RELAX!
TWO MORE WEEKS and i will get to enjoy a beautiful
Christmas tree with lots of lights and ornaments!

6 months to go!

for thanksgiving break, chris and i went to charleston, il to visit my aunt and uncle and cousin. we had so much fun, but once again, i forgot to take pictures. i really need to work on this! we hung out, ate lots of food, went shopping, slept, relaxed, and just laughed a lot. it was great!
friday, the 23rd, was exactly 6 months until the wedding. my wonderful fiance got me an ipod nano as a "6 months til our wedding/ i love you" gift! he is so great and i love him so much! 6 months seems so close and so far all at the same time! i can't wait to get home for christmas break and work on wedding plans! :D woo hoo! I'm going to be a WIFE! : )

last night, my wonderful man took me on a date last night! he took me out to dinner, and then we went to see a show. (it was basically 3 person show of them singing songs from broadway shows). we got dressed up. no, i didn't take pictures...i know i suck at life! : ) anyways...6 and a half months til our wedding! i can't believe how fast it's coming! ahhh! so exciting! : )

BARN PARTY!

Bowman and Shatford had a barn party this past weekend...you know you live in Indiana when the event of the week is dressing up like a cowgirl or a hick and going to a barn to make s'mores and go on a spooky hay ride! why did i leave beautiful california? hahaha!

Chris' parents came for a week over our fall break! we had sooo much fun...but silly us, we took ZERO pictures! we went shopping, slept A LOT, played games, and just had fun!
then my dad came to visit us for a day. he was in indy for meetings, so he came up to hang out with me! we had so much fun. i miss my family a lot! i can't wait til CHRISTMAS BREAK!
after the visits, it was back to reality. homework (and lots of it), lack of sleep, and work!
Shatford and Bowman are having the annual Barn Party on Saturday! apple bobbin', pie eating contests, s'mores...what more could you ask for? : )
From Thursday 25-Friday 26, Shatford is doing a 30 hour prayer. our chaplain and her reps transformed part of our lobby to a prayer room. there are different stations the girls can go to to pray in different ways: confession, communion, purity, etc. it's really exciting! God is doing some mighty things here in Shatford and at IWU!
on October 23 was exactly 7 months til the wedding. we now have a dj and a florist, i think. i looked at my wedding planning checklist tonight and realized i'm almost in the "4-6 month" section! AHHH! so crazy! i can't believe how fast time is flying! it's exciting, and totally scary at the same time!
